La négritude was written in reflection on the question of black identity.

Humans instinctively judge each other on appearance. I believe there is reason for this. It is tiresome when we have to question everything we see as though it were new.

When a person looks a certain way, in most cases, they become part of a group independent of who they are on the inside. The result of this sort of profiling can both be negative and positive.

If you're a person that doesn't fit the stereotype, you wonder, go back and forth searching for who you are.

La négritude was written and drawn in December 2015 and submitted to the Internationales Comix-Festival Fumetto.

It was nominated as one of the top 45 comics and shown in the April 2016 exhibit.
