"The mastery of one's medium is the degree to which the artist's ideas survive the journey of creation." - Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art by Scott MC Cloud.

Through the years of learning how to draw and reflecting on the process, I have come to discover that drawing isn't so much the process of putting one's ideas on a surface but communicating with each individual aspect of the process. Your hand, be it left or right, your marking tool, be it sharp or dull.
Each of these factors change the way one interacts with the surface and therefore influences the work. The material itself, fatigue or an accident, all of these hints can help or hinder the process.

There are a great many things to discover outside of our ideas, our environment is a teacher.
